Silence and modesty are very valuable equalities in conversation.

COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY
An excellent way of establishing rapport with people is to make simple, direct statements with appropriate, relevant action taken within the time specified.
When someone doesn’t understand your language, literally or figuratively, it’s beneficial to switch over to their tongue.
Words are symbols of thoughts. They are powerful vibrations resonating with emotional energy. Observe the words you use habitually and you can learn a great deal about yourself.
Equally important is the tone in which the words are uttered. The tone gives away subtle clues about the speaker’s present state of mind, which an attentive ear can discern easily. So are the posture of the person, facial expression and micro-movements of eyes, eye brows, lips and facial muscles.
Active listening forms vital part of effective communication which requires patience, alertness and being present in the here and now. A sensible listener can learn as much by meaningful pauses in the conversation as from sounds.
Forgetting to communicate with your ‘self’ can ultimately lead to frustration. Practise attuning to the inner voice by silencing external, disturbing sounds.
