Gemini: This was America’s second manned space flight programmes. The capsule carried two astronauts.
Hubble: This space telescope has sent back some of the most incredible pictures of our universe.
Mercury: This was America’s first manned space flight programme.
Mir: This Russian mission has a manned space station above earth right now.
Pathfinder: This mission landed on Mars in the summer of 1997 and had a robot called Sajourner.
Shuttle: This programme has the only reusable spacecraft.
Surveyor: This Mars mission is in programme now and will give us a very good look at the Red Planet.
Venera: This Russian mission sent back valuable pictures from the surface of planet Venus.
Viking: This programme landed on Mars and sent back live pictures.
